The College of Business at Minnesota State Mankato is committed to creating opportunities for its students to develop their own big ideas and to use real-world thinking to make those ideas possible. Our curriculum is designed to include hands-on application of the most forward thinking content whenever possible. We've also created student clubs, activities and events to enhance your educational experience.

United Prairie Bank Integrated Business Experience

Gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of business by participating in the Integrated Business Experience. You'll take what you're learning in the classroom and apply it to running an actual business.

Big Ideas Challenge

The Big Ideas Challenge is a new venture competition that encourages and celebrates students' innovative business ideas.

Henze Ag Innovators Leadership Development Program

The Henze Ag Innovators program is a select group of Minnesota State University, Mankato students interested in exploring agribusiness and food careers as well as developing leadership skills. The program is both fall and spring semesters.

VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

IRS-certified student volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. VITA is part of a national program.

Wall Street Journal Program

In collaboration with The Wall Street Journal, Minnesota State University, Mankato offers all College of Business students access to the Wall Street Journal.

Study Away and Abroad Opportunities

The College of Business recognizes the importance of the global marketplace and the benefits that can come from international experiences and encourages study away opportunities for all students!

Mav Fund

Be a part of the MSIF Management Team in charge of investing over $650,000 for the University Foundation.

Diversity Case Competition

Students immerse themselves in the case and begin to understand the structure of the company and how different aspects of diversity have a large impact in the world of business.

Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneur in Residence

Creates scholarships and supports an annual lecture by food entrepreneurship experts. This includes executives within a broad range of food processing, retailing and wholesaling industries.

Graduation Speaker

One graduating College of Business student will be chosen to deliver a brief inspirational speech at the University commencement.
