Agribusiness and Food Innovation Internships

Internships are required for the Agribusiness & Food Innovation Major and Minor. Internships provide students with a rich extension of the classroom experience, help build a student's professional network, may transition into a job offer, or serve as a reference for a full-time job application.

Agribusiness & Food Innovation internships can be found at a variety of agribusiness or food-related organizations, industry, state, or federal institutions. Duties may include sales, human resources, marketing, supply chain, accounting, operations, markets trading, financial analyst tasks, and more. Opportunities are typically available during the summer, with most hiring taking place in the previous fall.

Opportunities can be found on Handshake, other online job boards, at on-campus career events, or through personal networking. A student who has a job doing agribusiness or food innovation-related work may earn internship credits.

Students may not count work on their own family’s farm for internship credit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The College of Business requires that you register for the term when you are doing your internship. You cannot earn credit retroactively for an internship that is already complete.
