David Olson Scholarship

A signature MBA real-world experience working directly with a chamber of commerce in Minnesota.

 

Minnesota State University, Mankato's College of Business in partnership with David Olson's family, friends, business associates and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer together an endowed annual scholarship honoring the life and work of David C. Olson.

This scholarship is an investment in future business leaders and will provide support for a Minnesota resident enrolled in the Master's in Business Administration (MBA) program with an interest in business, community, and public affairs leadership. In addition to the scholarship support, this award will include an internship with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, a local Minnesota Chamber, or the national Office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Through this internship, the student will have the opportunity to see first - hand the critical role that chambers have in bringing a business perspective to public policy and developing our local and state economies.

Total award:

$7,500

$5000 scholarship + $2,500 stipend

All Currently enrolled MBA students are eligible to apply. Application due September 15 each year. This experience takes place once per year in the spring semester. Most work can be completed remotely in partnership with the chamber of commerce. Some travel may be required.
