FIRST-YEAR Students: Information & Advising Sessions for Summer & Fall 2025 registration!
First-Year students with majors in Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, & AgriBusiness and Food Innovation are assigned to the College of Business (COB) Advising Team for advising.
Steps for Summer and/or Fall 2025 First-Year Student Advising:
1. Register for and attend a group session to learn requirements and goals for second year students with majors in the College of Business.
2. Learn when and how to apply to the COB majors.
3. Complete the College of Business “Registration Planning Form” (provided at the session) with classes for Summer and/or Fall and have it reviewed by professional academic advisors so you are ready to register when your registration window opens.
4. Register for classes after session and as soon as your registration window opens.
Note: After a student attends a group session, they are welcome to schedule an appointment with COB Advising Team member if they have further questions.
College of Business Registration Planning/Advising Dates for FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
- All sessions will last approximately 60 minutes.
- Work time for the Registration Planning form is during each session.
- Time will be allowed for questions to be answered.
- You only need to attend one session.
- Please bring a laptop and pen to your session to participate in registration planning activities.
- Confirmation will be sent to your email after you register for a session.

How to sign up for a COB Advising Group Session
- Open the Navigate360 app on your phone.
- Click on appointments
- Click on schedule an appointment
- Select professional academic advising for your appointment type
- Under service, select group advising/registration session
- Find available time
- In the location section, select Adv-College of Business Student Center
- Click schedule
- Check your MavMail. You should get confirmation for the session for which you just signed up.
If you have trouble registering through the Navigatge360 app, call the COB Student Center at COB Student Center at 507-389-2963 for help getting signed up for a session.

Transfer students and students who are not in their first year at Minnesota State University, Mankato but are assigned the College of Business Advising team, do not have to attend a session and should schedule to meet with an advisor in the COB Student Center through MavConnect or by calling 507-389-2963.
Students assigned a specific faculty advisor should contact their faculty advisor directly to schedule an advising session.
