FIRST-YEAR Students: Information & Advising Sessions for Spring 2025 registration!

 

First-Year students with majors in Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, & AgriBusiness and Food Innovation are assigned to the College of Business (COB) Advising Team for advising.

Steps for Spring 2025 First-Year Student Advising:

1. Register for and attend a group advising/information session to learn how to find and read your degree audit (DARS), admission to the major, and course goals for Spring 2025. 
2. Complete the College of Business "Registration Planning Form" (provided at information sessions) and have it reviewed by professional academic advisors so you are ready to register when your registration window opens.  
3. Register for classes after session and as soon as your registration window opens.

 

College of Business Registration Planning/Advising Dates for FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

• All sessions will last approximately 60 minutes.
• Work time for the Registration Planning form is during each session.
• Time will be allowed for questions to be answered. 
• You only need to attend one session. 
• Please bring a laptop and pen to your session to participate in registration planning activities. 
• Confirmation will be sent to your email after you register for a session.

How to sign up for a COB Advising Group Session

1. Once you choose a date, open Mavconnect on your computer or the Navigate app on your phone. We do encourage you to download the app as there is much more than scheduling with the app. 
2. Click on appointments
3. Click on schedule an appointment
4. Select professional academic advising for your appointment type
5. Under service, select group advising/registration session
6. Find available time
7. In the location section, select Adv-College of Business Student Center
8. Click schedule
9. Check your MavMail. You should get confirmation for the session for which you just signed up.
