Course Information
The CTS consists of 3 courses (7 credits) taken as a block by a cohort of students over one semester. The three courses consist of the following:
- MGMT 447-30 (Innovative Business Consulting),
- MGMT 482-30 (Business, Society, & Ethics), and
- MGMT 499-30 (Independent Study)
Section 30 is for the CTS program only.
CTS Courses (7 credits):
MGMT 447 (3) Innovative Business Consulting
An applied course that will equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset required to assess today's business challenges. Students will also receive hands-on experience with regional entrepreneurial companies as they strategize innovative solutions to real-world problems.
MGMT 482 (3) Business, Society, & Ethics
Students learn how to apply moral principles to analyze ethical dilemmas in business. Students also learn how to argue for or against government regulation of business. Topics covered include bribery, anti-competitive business practices, pollution, product safety, marketing ethics, employee rights, sexual harassment, discrimination and affirmative action, conflicts of interest, and insider trading.
MGMT 499 (1) Independent Study
This course focuses on the essential soft skills that are highly sought after by employers. Through engaging, hands-on learning and practical application, you will strengthen your critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
