Announcing the new Stangler Small Business Internships program
Thanks to a gift from Curt and Julie Stangler, the College of Business is offering a new internship program in summer 2021. The Stangler Small Business Internships program will fund internships for students at small businesses in southern Minnesota.
Companies can apply to host an intern with majors in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, or International Business or a minor in Agribusiness. Selected companies will receive training on hosting impactful internships and must agree to offer meaningful work and provide an evaluation of their intern’s performance.
Samantha Campa, the College of Business Talent Programs Specialist, will provide support to employers and interns. Interns will gain real-world business experience, receive academic credit, and earn a paycheck through the College for their work.
At a time when small businesses are struggling due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and students are facing limited summer work opportunities, the College is excited to offer this program.
Companies can apply through March 1st, 2021 at https://mnsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0GGOClLVHMELhTE.
Once companies have been selected, students can apply on Handshake starting March 12th, 2021.
