Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity which encourages personal and professional development of men and women pursuing careers in business. The Fraternity supports scholastic, professional, and service activities in and outside of universities. Delta Sigma Pi also promotes a closer relationship between the commercial world and students of commerce while continuing to further a higher standard of commercial ethics.

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University by four men of diverse faiths and backgrounds. The Fraternity now has more than 250 chapters and over 230,000 members.

Delta Sigma Pi has been awarding the Scholarship Key annually at each college or university where the Fraternity maintains an active chapter since 1912.  The Key is presented to the graduating student with the highest cumulative academic average toward a degree in business administration or economics, regardless of whether the person is or is not a member of Delta Sigma Pi.

To this day, Delta Sigma Pi still awards the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key each spring to the graduating student with the highest cumulative academic average toward a degree in business administration or economics, regardless of fraternal affiliation. The recipients are also listed on each chapter’s Scholarship Key Scroll and a complete list of scholarship key winners is also kept in a book on display in the Fraternity’s National Headquarters in Oxford, Ohio.
