- Post The Internship to MavJobs:
MavJobs is the University s free job posting website and is accessible to thousands of students and alumni. If your organization doesn t have an employer account, you will be required to complete a quick form before posting your internship to the site.
- Notify the Internship and External Partnerships Coordinator:
Once the internship has been posted, notifying the Coordinator will ensure your opportunity is communicated directly to related student and faculty groups.
- Provide the Successful Applicant an Offer Letter and Job Description:
If the student you are offering the internship to will be using the internship to earn academic credit in the College of Business they will be required to submit an offer letter printed on your organization s letterhead outlining the number of hours to be worked each week and the expected duration of the internship. The supervisor or human resources department needs to sign this letter. The student will also be required to submit a job description to the Internship and External Partnerships Coordinator in this situation.
- Mid-internship Check-in:
The Internship and External Partnerships Coordinator may reach out to the student s supervisor to conduct a mid-internship check-in and gather feedback from the intern and their supervisor. This feedback will be used to ensure continuous improvement of the internship program within the College of Business.
- Provide a Performance Evaluation:
A student who wishes to earn academic credit for their internship is required to submit a copy of a final performance evaluation completed by their supervisor one week before the end of the internship. The student’s direct Supervisor at your Company will receive an email including this evaluation form three weeks before the internship end date. Academic credit cannot be awarded if this piece is not completed within the required timeframes.
