"Challenges Facing the Food Industry"

Amy is the Director of R&D for GMI's International Division. In this role, Amy leads a team that supports product development activities for GMI's product portfolio outside the US.

Amy has held several positions in both the Engineering and R&D functions within the technical community at General Mills. Amy began her career at GMI in 1989 as a project engineer supporting the Big G cereal business. In 1992, Amy transferred to R&D where she held various leadership positions in product development for the cereal and snacks division leading several new product launches. In 2002, Amy was appointed Senior R&D Manager supporting R&D Strategy and Innovation. In 2004, Amy transferred back to Engineering as Director of the Controls and Information systems engineering group. She was named to her current position in International R&D in 2007.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management.

Amy resides in Medina, Minnesota with her husband, son and daughter.
