The goal of the etiquette dinner is to help students feel more confident in a dinner setting. Confidence often increases as more knowledge is gained about what is appropriate or inappropriate etiquette in such a dining situation. An important point about etiquette is that there are subtle rules of behavior. If you learn these rules, you can then focus your attention more on getting to know your dinner campanion and less on second-guessing your dining habits. The etiquette dinner is hosted by Deenna Latus. She is the Assistant Director of the Career Development Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and has been with the University for over nine years. Deenna is a Certified Etiquette Consultant.
