The Collegiate Leadership Program was established in 2005 with the Greater Mankato Area Chamber of Commerce. College of Business students and students studying business at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato come together to participate in Chamber of Commerce activities throughout the academic year. Information forums, company visits, special luncheons, and the opportunity to network with business owners in the Mankato area are all part of this leadership program. Several goals exist for the program: a) make students aware of the business opportunities in the community upon graduation, b) help students understand the important connection between civic life and the business community, and c) provide an opportunity for students to learn valuable leadership skills.
