College of Business Admission Requirements 2009-2010

Admission to the undergraduate program in the College of Business is competitive.  Undergraduate admission in the College of Business typically occurs at the beginning of the student’s junior year. Once admitted, the student may choose to pursue a degree in one or more of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, or Marketing. Multiple criteria will be considered for admission to the College of Business. Admission is competitive; meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Deadlines for applications are: October 1 for Spring semester and March 1 for Fall semester. 

Please note that the COB is a laptop college that requires a laptop be purchased through the MSU Computer Store.

Criteria Considered for Admission to the College of Business

  1. Grade Point Average:  minimum cumulative 2.7
  2. Credits and Courses: 33 completed credits of the 44 general education requirements
  3. Completion of the following courses: Information Systems 101 (Information Systems 110 for Management Information Systems students) MATH 130 (MATH 121 or 180 for Management Information Systems students), Accounting 200, Business Law 200, Management 200, Second Year Experience 201, Economics 201, Economics 202, Economics 207, and Accounting 210
